UMBC's Grand Challenge Scholars

This is the first year of UMBC's Grand Challenge Scholars Program. The program is based on working towards NAE's 14 Grand Challenges for Humanity, and contains students from all majors.

Being a Grand Challenge Scholar at UMBC requires applying for acceptance in the program, three 1-credit seminars, and experiences within the five main program areas (research, interdisciplinarity, entrepreunership, global perspectives, and service learning).
